This is a brief photo-diary of my photographic adventures in 2006. There will be a post each day of my favorite image that I have taken that day. I hope you enjoy them.

Keeping this profile thing short, I take some pictures and I go on occasional rants. This blog is to give me an outlet for those two activities (mostly photos).

Day 107 TAX DAY. Time for the fair tax.

Normally tax day is April 15, but of course it fell on a weekend so "T" day is today. It is getting late in the day so if you are reading this and haven't sent yours in yet, you had better get a move on!!! I am going to take this opportunity to editorialize a little. President Bush got some tax cuts through a few years ago. That was a start but we need to go further. The current tax code is over 60,000 pages of mess. Even H&R Block screwed their own taxes up. All we hear from the "liberals" is that the "rich" don't pay their fair share. In fact, the top 1 % of wage earners pay 34% of the taxes. The top 50% pay 97%of the total income tax collected. Now anyone that knows me knows that I am far from wealthy. I would like to be able to keep more of what I earn though. There is a bill before Congress referred to as the "fair tax" bill that I encourage you to learn more about. This is not just an idiotic scheme but a legitimate plan that has been analyzed by the leading economists in the country. It is a plan that would cause such a boom in the American economy that many companies that currently have headquarters overseas have said they would move back here. Please check out the plan at www.fairtax.org. Read the material that is there and read the frequently asked questions. I think you will be amazed. If you really want a good book on the subject, try The Fair Tax Book by Neal Boortz. Think about it folks, it's time for a change.
